Terms and conditions

General

• If you choose to subscribe. You are paying (9.99 € / Month (+VAT)) for a subscription for bookmind.co, a note taking app that helps you remember. Bookmind uses evidence-based methods like spaced repetition and active recall to help you learn and remember.
• There is a 30 day money back guarantee if you choose to subscribe. If you're not happy with the service you can get your money refunded within those 30 days. You do not have to provide a reason, but I would love to hear it.
• Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Backup and abuse

• We will back up your data so that you won't lose it in case something happens.
• If the site at any point ceases operation, we will make sure you will have time and opportunity to export your data.
• You may in no way abuse the app where you make unreasonable amounts of request to the server. (This won't happen if you use the app as intended)
• We reserve the right to disable accounts if any abuse happens. But we will contact you by email and give an explanation.

Privacy & GDPR

• You have the right to export your data. Send an email to andreas@bookmind.co and we will make sure you have the data as soon as possible.
• You can remove your account at any time by emailing andreas@bookmind.co. In this case we will remove every piece of information we have about you.
• We will not share your data with anyone. We do not sell, rent or trade any type of information about you.
• We try to collect as little personal data as possible. Some personal data is however required, like email. Which is used for authentication and communication.
• We use cookies for authentication. So that we know when you are logged in or not. But we do not track anything else with cookies.
• We collect usage statistics with the help of Fathom Analytics (https://usefathom.com). This is not personal data. We don't use cookies to track what you do. We only track things like total page views and how many users have used a certain feature. We have no way of knowing if a specific user was one of them.
• We generate questions from your notes with the assistance of OpenAI. Only the text of your notes is processed for this purpose, and no personal data is involved. Your notes are not stored on OpenAI's servers; they are only used momentarily to create relevant questions, ensuring your privacy is maintained. We do not track or store any information that could identify you through this feature.

Changes to this policy

• bookmind.co may change this policy in the future. If that happens, we will make sure to notify users within the app. You can always find the current Terms at http://bookmind.co/terms .
